SUMMIT Information Night this Thursday, October 22 at the BCPA, starting at 6:30 p.m. All interested parties are welcome to attend, not only eighth graders and families.
Bowie High's SUMMIT Scholar Program is pleased to announce our 2015-2016 application season. We are a comprehensive, college preparatory Advanced Placement program; all students residing within the Bowie High boundary are welcome to apply. Please see attached documents for more information about SUMMIT, and feel free to post and share them with parents and students; I have attached a meeting flier, an admissions calendar, and a program description.

Please look through the application to familiarize yourselves with our procedures; we have tried to keep things as simple as possible!
Please note that the following procedures have changed:
a) Our application is now completely paperless. Applicants are no longer required to submit final 7th and first quarter 8th grade reports to us. The SUMMIT Admissions Committee will access PGCPS students' grades through Schoolmax; we ask that private school counselors email students' grades to kprice@pgcps.org by December 1, 2015.
b) Students will register for the entrance exam when they complete the online application. We offer three separate testing dates to accommodate our community:November 14, December 12, and December 16. Students select their first and second choices on the application; we will notify each applicant of his or her official test date.
c) The Parent Permission Statement is now part of the online application and requires only an electronic (typed) application.
